Terms and Conditions

·        Customers are responsible for their children at all times (except during a class where the child is not accompanied by a parent / carer / guardian).

·        Customers must inform their teacher of any health issues that may be relevant, including changes in a child’s health or well-being prior to the start of a class. It is advised that children requiring (prescription) medication should take it prior to attending a class as appropriate. For children who need to self-administer medication in classes (e.g. an asthma inhaler), parents / carers / guardians should advise the teacher of their permission for their child to do this. For children who require basic support, please detail this on the registration form and discuss individual needs with the teacher. 

·        Customers must follow health and safety procedures as advised to them by their teacher.

·        All teachers hold up-to-date first aid certificates and are fully DBS / PVG (Scotland only) checked.

·        Customers should aim to arrive no more than 5 minutes before the class and leave no more than 5 minutes after the class to facilitate class changeover. Customers should drop-off and collect children from within the premises where classes are held.

·        For class cancellations / dates when classes will not be taking place, teachers will give as much notice as possible. In the event of a last minute class cancellation, customers will be notified by text message to their mobile phone. If customers do not supply a mobile phone number, a voice text will be left on the home number provided. 

·        Email addresses are required for the sole use of Steampunks to advise of changes to classes, fees and the promotion of holiday clubs etc. Steampunks will never divulge this information to 3rd parties.

·        Alternative contact details are required in case of emergency and the parent/guardian is unavailable.

Fees / refunds / notice period

Fees

·        Fees are payable via the class for kids platform

·        Fees are calculated on the basis of £8 per hour for pre-school weekly classes. Discounts are available for block bookings, and are outlined on the Class for Kids schedule page. Camps are £12 per hour and there are also discounts for booking multiple days available. 

Refunds

·        In the event of a lesson being cancelled by Steampunks, every attempt will be made to rearrange a substitute class at another time, alternatively a refund will be made via bank transfer.

·        If a lesson is cancelled part way through, customers will only be credited if they were in attendance, and for the part of the lesson that had to be cancelled.

·        In the event that a child is unable to attend a class due to sickness or holiday, we regret that we are unable to refund payment unless notice is given as outlined below.

Notice Period

·        If you know you will be unable to attend a class, please give as much notice as possible to allow us to fill the space. 

·       Weekly classes - if notified within 24 hours, a class can be rescheduled for an alternative date. If within 36 hours, the class fee can be refunded.

·       Clubs and camps - As the class cannot be rescheduled for missed camp/club days, a refund will only be given if we are given 1 weeks notice or we are able to fill the space with another customer.

Photo/Video use:

·        Steampunks may from time to time take photos or video of a child/children involved in a class session or holiday party for promotional purposes including.

·        Print marketing materials

·        Website

·        Social media (e.g. Steampunks business pages on Facebook, Instagram – to accompany branded posts)

·        Parents are requested to discuss photo permission with their child
